Not stars but painting on walls

by on May.12, 2006, under Painting Jobs

Last night I picked out paint for a new project I am working on. I’ll be colorwashing walls in a bedroom. We are going with a parchment like color scheme and have chosen a swiss coffee white tone as base and two darker hues of brown, the darkest shade being chocolate coco, for the accent colors. I can’t remember what the other color is but it is a midtone between the light and dark. The chocolate coco color is deep, looks like a chocolate bar color so it should be interesting to see the finished walls! :D

I will begin working on this next week and hopefully I’ll be able to add this to my line of painting I currently do. ;) Next week, I am also painting a baby’s room with stars. This should be an interesting room to do since the ceiling is sloped and one of the old window opening is covered by a board with clouds painting on it. I’ll paint some stars on that so it looks like you are looking out of a window into space!!

This would be the same way portholes look from inside a ship…in this case, a spaceship! The porthole theme is where stars are painting within round 14″ areas on the walls. This creates a sense that you are inside of a ship looking out into space through round portholes. I suppose the name is pretty self explanatory. :D

Portholes drop down from the ceiling about 2 feet to start and usually are spaced 3-4 feet apart. They are also aligned symetrically on the opposing wall.

I will be adding this theme to my site in the weeks to come and possibly other painting options!
