Day/Night Combo sky murals proved to be a big hit recently!

Friday, June 16th, 2006

I am getting more and more inquiries and jobs on daytime and nighttime combo ceiling murals these days! It is definitely a nice thing to have as you are seeing something at all hours of the day or night. ;)

My most recent day/night combo mural was greeted by enthusiasm and amazement! The homeowners were delighted with how realistic my daytime blue sky with clouds looked and beyond excited when they saw their starry sky for the first time!! They chose my daytime clouds theme in combo with my Artist’s Choice nighttime theme! I pretty much gave them the works, the skies I had painted even impressed me….and I’m a bit of a perfectionist. ;)) I was blown away by how amazing the ceiling murals turned out!!

These day sky mural pics do not do the mural justice. Photos just does not capture the incredible depth perception the actual mural has. I could not stop saying WOW when I saw the finished mural the next day and the homeowners were sooo very happy, I even gotten back my post painting survey back within days of completion of this mural!

Again, the actual mural looks soooooooo much more amazing if I do say so myself ;)

Happy Anniversary to Me, 3 years as SAI

Friday, June 9th, 2006

How time flies…today marks the anniversary of the day I become a Starscapes Artist-Illusionist!  It’s been 3 wonderful years painting stars!! :D

It’s hard to believe 3 years has passed….I can still remember when I found Starscapes looking for glow in the dark glitter for my truly amazing “Starlit Beach”….which by the way are just beautiful and now in 4oz bottles!

It’s amazing when I look back through the years and think fondly of all the Starscapes I have painted.  I’ve improved my artwork and have added so much to the murals I paint.  I started offering daytime clouds too and on the next post I will talk about the most recent project I am undertaking for a nursery which will be for a soon to arrive in August/September for a set of twin girls!! :D  Pictures to come!

Happy Anniversary to me ;)

Marble wall finally finished…continued

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

These are the final pics I took at the completion of the project.  I may have more pics to add, am planning on going back over there during the daylight hours to capture some photos of the room under natural light conditions. ;)

Only two pics in natural light:

More trim details….the white glossy trim really make the wall POP!  The original color of the trim was a tan color.  I highly recommend glossy ultra pure white for the trim in any home for that polished look.

Looks like real marble doesn’t it?  And the white trim really sets it off under ambient lighting…

marble walls look even more real under ambient lighting

it looks perfect!!

And that completes our fascinating tour of my new marble wall project!  Homeowner is happy and I am very pleased as well with my painting of the new marble walled room! :)
