I’m finally back in Maryland and ready to paint starry ceiling murals again!
by jean on Oct.19, 2007, under Artist Updates
It’s been an amazing experience out west. The Rocky Mountains are so very beautiful and stargazing at about 11,000+ feet up was more incredible than I can even say or write. There must’ve been a million stars above me within my view, the milky way was definitely visible! I could see the subtleness of the band of stars stretching over my head, I will never forget it!
There were also so many shooting stars that flew across the wide open sky, it was a very clear and cold night! I think the temperatures were in the low 40s up high in the mountains and the wind was blowing icy cold even though it was in the 70s in Denver that night.
I will never forget being up there and seeing all the stars, the drive up was a bit scary as the mountain roads are pretty narrow and curvy with no rail guards and looked like it just drops off into a black hole. Luckily I was in great hands and had the opportunity to paint with another Starscapes Artist in Denver!
This trip was totally inspirational and I will continue to capture the realism of the night sky from that vantage point in all my murals. I can still see all the stars from the Rocky Mountains in my mind and I’m in awe of it’s beauty….I paint stars!
Starscapes Ceiling Murals in Denver Colorado
by jean on Sep.13, 2007, under Artist Updates
The “once in a blue moon” sale is officially over! Those who took advantage of that got HUGE savings over regular prices!
Now it’s time for a long vacation….to a beautiful place or so I’ve been told: Colorado! I’ve never been but am looking forward to seeing the sights and relaxing the days away. I’ll be there for a few weeks and I’ll have access to painting supplies so if anyone in the Denver area is interested in an amazing day/night combo of clouds and stars mural, contact me! I’ll be able to check email and I’ll have my cell with me, never leave home without it ![]()
I will resume business as usual here in Maryland once I return sometime mid-late October so see you all then!
Comet McNaught is a beautiful sight to behold for those in the south
by jean on Jan.17, 2007, under Artist Updates
After it’s brief debut for us Northerners, Comet McNaught takes it’s orbital tour to entertain and bewild the folks in the southern hemisphere! Many have captured this stunning display of the classic flared curved tail of a comet with their cameras and have posted it up at this site! It’s amazing how lovely and visible it looks against the sunset. That’s a cause for celebration…next month’s special will be a tribute to the Comet McNaught and I’ll throw in a “Comet 3-pack” with every mural purchase! That’s a $50.00 value, yours free with a purchase of a full size Starscapes® ceiling mural or skylite!
My comet 3-pack can be seen in my ever popular “Deep Space Fantasy” theme which boasts the addition of other glow colors: laser violet, fantasy sky blue, and astro orange! This is a sight to behold as well, schedule a free in-home demo today.
