Sales inserts with Brochure Canvassing efforts
by jean on May.24, 2006, under Marketing Ideas
Yesterday, I started my mini campaign with distributing some of my lovely brochures to new home neighborhoods. I finished up today where I left off since I ran out of the prepared bags. It’s funny how from the main road, it doesn’t look like there are THAT many houses but these days, homes are built practically on top of one another in the suburban areas, it shouldn’t be surprising when my target 80 was not enough. Turns out after visiting the model home showing a framed picture of the building plans, there will be a total of 93 homes in this one neighborhood alone. ![]()
I called a friend of mine earlier who I believe is truly an expert in scoping out new home areas! She has visited more model homes than anyone I know and she gave me some great locations to check out for my mini campaign. It was very interesting going inside the model home as walking through, I could see how perfect my starry murals would be in different rooms of the house! This house even had one room done in clouds but it wasn’t anything remotely close to how my ceilings look. It would be interesting to know who actually did the ceiling, I would love to do clouds and stars in one of the rooms in a model home in exchange for being able to leave my brochures out and possibly some referrals!
I have so many ideas running through my head, just need to find the time to do it all!! ![]()
Starscapes® Mentoring Program Details are being put together…
by jean on May.11, 2006, under Artist Updates, Marketing Ideas, Starscapes® Business
I’ve been tossing around the idea of a mentoring program for those I have personally signed up to become a Starscapes® Artist-Illusionist. It will be a nice way to share what I know with new SAIs!
The preliminary includes an exclusive area to the members only section of a private forum. Here I will give out all my little secrets to make the Starscapes learning experience that much easier!
I think I should have the details finalized by the end of next week and will begin adding valuable info to this private forum and start sending out VIP notices to some of the new members that have joined Starscapes through me.
I will also be offering web services and marketing services of all kinds so it should be very interesting! I can not wait til it’s all put together as I feel it will be a great support system for all involved. ![]()
Custom Logo Rubber stamps for my Starscapes Murals
by jean on May.03, 2006, under Marketing Ideas
As part of my “get everything squared away” plan, I have decided to order a custom logo hand stamp for all my mural’s signature! I used to sign in glow paint but that was a bit distracting. So then I opted for my signature in UV Invisible Ink in pen format. That was great because you can only see it when the blacklight is shined upon it…so the distraction problem I had with signing in glow paint was eliminated. ![]()
Lately, I’ve been giving more thought to the whole signature thing and you know, other artists stamp their masterpieces for sale. Like the one awesome Thomas Kinkade Oil Painting I own of “A Quiet Evening”. It’s signed and stamped for authenticity. Not that what I, the painter of dreams™ do and what the “painter of light” does are the same but totally in two different arena…but nevertheless, a painting is a painting!
I was searching for hand stamps that I could customize with my logo. I had made up a black and white logo for my printed material which I wanted to create a stamp for…a stencil would also be nice but I thought stamping would be easier. I ordered some UV reactive ink and an empty inkpad so that arrived yesterday. I emailed one company about my logo and they never returned my email so I guess they just don’t want my business!
Today I came upon several sites and after dealing with the fabulous customer service at iPrint.com, I ordered my stamp through them! The person I corresponded with was knowledgeable and quick to respond. I found her on the live chat feature and then I emailed her my logo to take a look. She said it was the best logo she had ever seen coming through for a stamp…flattery will get you everywhere!! But we talked about my ideas and how I was to use my new stamp, Elizabeth gave really good service and I’m glad I found this company.
I would recommend them right now based on their customer service and their pricing is very competitive too. If you are looking for business stuff printed up or custom made, they sell all sorts of stuff there, check them out and get a discount too on shipping! Free Shipping on orders of $75 or more at iPrint.com! They have other deals going on right now so just go check them out. I will be able to comment more on the quality of the stamp once I receive it in 2 weeks or so. It was nice that they would take a look at my file before I place an order. Some minor tweeking due to the grey scaling but otherwise, it was basically hassle free!
Sooo…which leaves me with how I will use this stamp. Once I get it, all my murals will be signed with a hand stamp of my logo in invisible uv ink and I will sign my name still in uv pen along with the date of the finished mural. I will also be using my stamp in uv ink for my forms and gift certificates for authenticity, maybe receipts and price quotes as well…the sky is the limit on what I stamp on…considering it will be in a blue uv ink that is undetectable with the naked eye, it will be great!
I am very excited, another duck in a row here ![]()
