It’s been a very long time trying to decide how I wanted to redo the layout of my starscapes photos but it is finally done!

Starry murals are somewhat difficult to photograph because of the small amount of light being released from each star. Seeing an actual mural looks different than trying to take a picture of it. With my old camera, I was very limited in what I could capture, yet I still managed to get something to display.

When I started incorporating day time clouds murals too into my menu of murals to offer, they were much easier to photograph because it was day time. Yet the counterpart to those clouds were still not coming through clearly when taken in the dark. Most of the time, I am soooo tired after I’m done painting that all I want to do is clean up and head home. Messing with photographic equipment is the last thing I want to fumble with, especially when I’m sure I’ve got glow paints all over my fingers!

Some pictures need some editing because of the “noise” level of dark photographs. I recently bought a new camera and have all these custom settings so after playing around with it, I was able to take a few decent pictures of some recent murals I painted! The real thing of course is still much more vibrant and 3-dimensional but for now, you’ll have to do with the photographs on my site!

Another problem I had encounter with putting up good photos on my site is that I find other artists stealing them to use on their own site. Mostly it was other star painters, whether it’s starscapes or on their own. It is unbelievable to me how another “artist” would knowingly infringe on my copyright and take my photos, smudge out my copyright tags on the photographs and say it’s their own artwork. To me, that is unethical and is really tricking their potential customers. I would never steal another artist’s work to use as my own and if I ever needed to use someone else’s photos for other reasons, I would totally ask for permission and give due credit to that artist. I think it comes down to how much integrity a person has.

All photos on my new photos page are 100% my own. They were taken by me of my own starscapes murals and clouds murals. I have a new lightbox attribute to make the experience more enjoyable and have it look more professional too. I’ve resized all my original photos to replace some of the ones that were on my site originally. I just hope that all my pics on my blog here are showing properly!

STRESS RELIEVING: My starry ceilings are so soothing that it will relieve your stress

With today’s hectic schedules, it’s no wonder that a large portion of the population is under stress. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, young or old, male or female, stress in many different forms can affect all of us at one point or another in our lives.

If you google “stress statistics”, you’ll no doubt find information on how 30% of all workers feel they are under a tremendous amount of stress everyday at work. Another 1/3 of all americans feel they are suffering from extreme stress. And how half of America believe that their stress levels have increased over the last 5 years! The statistics go on and on. How will Americans be in another 5 years?

But it doesn’t take statistics to tell you about yourself, you know when you’re feeling stressed out from your job or your personal life or family life or even from social changes happening in our world today.

As a matter of fact, even your kids get stressed out from school, studies, and pressures from their peers! They too are also affected by social changes happening in our society these days.
