I’m finally back in Maryland and ready to paint starry ceiling murals again!

It’s been an amazing experience out west. The Rocky Mountains are so very beautiful and stargazing at about 11,000+ feet up was more incredible than I can even say or write. There must’ve been a million stars above me within my view, the milky way was definitely visible! I could see the subtleness of the band of stars stretching over my head, I will never forget it!

There were also so many shooting stars that flew across the wide open sky, it was a very clear and cold night! I think the temperatures were in the low 40s up high in the mountains and the wind was blowing icy cold even though it was in the 70s in Denver that night.

I will never forget being up there and seeing all the stars, the drive up was a bit scary as the mountain roads are pretty narrow and curvy with no rail guards and looked like it just drops off into a black hole. Luckily I was in great hands and had the opportunity to paint with another Starscapes Artist in Denver!

This trip was totally inspirational and I will continue to capture the realism of the night sky from that vantage point in all my murals. I can still see all the stars from the Rocky Mountains in my mind and I’m in awe of it’s beauty….I paint stars!
